Parent-Teacher Group (PTG)

The Parent Teacher Group (PTG) at East School helps to provide the students with some of the little extras that benefit the entire school. In the past we have purchased playground equipment, books for the library and classrooms, a laminator, stage curtains, ceiling fans in the classrooms, TV's and VCR's in the classrooms and field trips. We have also provided the students with items throughout the year. We are able to purchase these items through our fundraisers. Our fundraisers include a candy bar sale, Market Day (frozen food you can order every month), Box Top, Tyson, and Our Family labels.

There are many things the PTG does for the school. We help coordinate classroom parties, and we help the teachers by making copies and laminating things for them. We coordinate Grandparents' Day in the spring and provide the Santa Shop, where students can come and buy their Christmas presents. We also provide a carnival for the students where we fill the halls of the school with all kinds of games, inflatables, food, and prizes.

We can not tackle all of these projects without the parents' involvement. Please come join us at our meetings. We know we all have busy schedules but just a few hours of your time can be priceless in the eyes of your child. If you have any questions, please e-mail us at eastptg@yahoo.com.
