Dover East Elementary

Welcome to Dover East Elementary

East Elementary School is recognized as a Hall of Fame school in the State of Ohio. The school is proud of the fine tradition of academic experiences provided to our students during their primary educational years. Students at East Elementary School are exposed to a fine array of curriculum selections that coincide with a variety of music, cultural arts, and recreational activities.

In 2013-2014, our students continued to score well on the Ohio Achievement Tests for Grades 3, 4, and 5. East School students achieved an Excellent with Distinction rating for 2013.

Our school is the home to 550 students in grades Kindergarten through five. A staff of 49 professionals blends experience and enthusiasm to meet the students' needs. In addition to several enhancement programs, our school offers supplemental help in reading, math, speech, and language skills. The PTG and community volunteers provide an extra benefit to the students' academic and social growth. Extracurricular activities include Student Council, Science Fair, ”Taking it to the Schools” and the Accelerated Reader program. Fifth-grade students can also participate in band, orchestra, or basketball.
