Welcome to Dover Avenue Elementary!
Dover Avenue services our fourth and fifth grade students within Dover City Schools. We strive to provide educational experiences and opportunities that foster the unique qualities of this age group.

Academically, we provide intervention and enrichment to our students within the classroom through intentional portions of our school day. Our Talented and Gifted (TAG) program also provides further enrichment in Math and Science for students who are identified as gifted learners. In addition to academic supports, our students have opportunities to participate in other activities such as Science Club, Chess Club, Student Council, Crimson Companions, Orff Ensemble, Band and Orchestra. These opportunities provide students with a foundation to develop interests in leadership, STEAM, and fine arts.

We value community and are appreciative of all the local support through community partnerships. We encourage our students to give back to our community through donations and collaboration with local nursing homes, Rainbow Connection, Dover Public Library and the PTG Christmas Give. We continue to foster community engagement through several PTG-sponsored events such as our Fall Fest, Time with Teachers, VIP Day, Book Fairs, Fine Arts Festival, and Dover-Phila Spirit Shop. Our PTG creates memorable experiences for all of our students through their leadership, dedication and support.
