NEW INFORMATION!
DOVER CITY SCHOOLS (K-8 ONLY) WILL RESUME A1: FACE-TO-FACE LEARNING ON MONDAY, JANUARY 25.
STUDENTS AT DOVER HS (9-12) WILL REMAIN IN A2: MODIFIED/HYBRID UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
ANNOUNCEMENT: TUESDAY, JANUARY 19, 2021
For students in grades K-8 only, Dover City Schools will resume classes in A1: Face-to-Face Learning beginning Monday, January 25. Due to the current number of positive cases and students quarantined at the high school, we will continue in A2: Modified Face-to-Face at Dover High School only until further notice.
A return to daily face-to-face instruction is a priority for all students; however, there may be times we still face staff shortages this year. In this case, we plan to use Remote Learning only in those classrooms or grade levels, which will allow the rest of the students to attend school daily. We know this is not ideal and requires flexibility on the part of all; however, we want to be in session face-to-face for as many students as possible as often as possible. Principals, school nurses, and/or teachers will communicate directly with those students’ families if this is necessary.
Further details are available in the letter to parents from Superintendent Birney available below.
