DOVER HIGH SCHOOL PHOTO CONTEST


Photo Contest to be Held for Images of the Present Dover High School
(DOVER, OHIO, August 3, 2018)  Dover Schools, in coordination with the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts, will be hosting a juried photo contest with the focus being on any elements of Dover High School, located at 520 North Walnut Street, in Dover, Ohio.  Any elements of the school are welcome to be photographed in color or black/white.  


Dover High School will be open for photography on Saturday, Sept 15, from 8 to 11 am; Sunday, Sept 16, from 1 to 4 pm; and Sunday, Sept 30 from 4-8 pm. All photographers should enter through the front doors of the school and register in the main office.
Photographers are limited to submitting 5 photos each. Jurors will select 10 winners. Winners will have work displayed at a show at the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts for 3-4 weeks, and an Opening Reception for the display will be held on Thursday, November 1 from 6:00-7:30 pm. Photos may also be used at events surrounding the construction of the new high school and will also be featured within the walls of the new DHS upon opening in 2020.


Entries are due by Wednesday, October 24.  All entries should be submitted  to Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts, 461 Robinson Drive, SE, New Philadelphia, Ohio.  Hours available to drop-off of photos is 10 am to 6:30 pm.  For questions regarding entry submission, please contact Jeannine Kennedy at 330-339-2787 or [email protected].
