Dover Avenue is more than just a school; it's a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing the academic and social growth of our 4th and 5th graders. We believe in fostering a well-rounded education that caters to each student's individual needs and ignites a lifelong love of learning.
Our dedicated teachers go beyond textbooks, integrating intervention and enrichment activities throughout the day. This ensures all students reach their full potential, whether they need focused support in reading and math, or crave the challenge of our Talented & Gifted (TAG) program with its advanced enrichment in science and math. Learning extends beyond the classroom walls. Students can explore their passions and develop valuable skills through a variety of exciting programs. From leadership roles in Student Council to creative expression in Orff Ensemble, Band, and Orchestra, there's something for everyone! Our unique Crimson Companions program pairs positive peer models with students who need support with social skills, fostering positive relationships.
We collaborate with Rainbow Connection, Dover Public Library, and TUFF Bags to provide resources and weekend meals for our students and families. Our active Parent-Teacher Group (PTG) is dedicated to enhancing the school experience for all. They organize fun events throughout the year, such as book fairs to explore exciting literature and spirit shop opportunities to show school pride. The PTG also fosters holiday cheer with Christmas Give and raises funds to support valuable programs and resources. Additionally, our Time with Teachers event allows students to connect with teachers in a fun and exciting manner to end the year!
We cherish opportunities to build community spirit and create lasting memories. Don't miss our annual Field Day, a day of friendly competition and outdoor activities! Join us for exciting events like the Family Picnic, a fun-filled day with games, food, and laughter. Celebrate the fall season with exciting activities and entertainment at the Fall Fest.
