Welcome to Dover South School, where we take pride in providing a safe, positive, and welcoming environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed.

At South School, our dedicated staff puts the needs of our students at the forefront of everything they do. This year, we are focusing heavily on positive behavior and building strong relationships. As a community, we strive daily to “Be Responsible, Respectful, and Safe,” creating an environment where children, staff, and families truly want to be.

As we look forward to another successful and exciting school year in 2026–2027, we remain committed to offering incredible opportunities for our students to learn and thrive.

We are incredibly proud of our preschool program, which holds a Gold rating—the highest rating possible through the "Step Up to Quality" rating system. This high-quality setting provides our youngest learners with the essential foundational skills they need to transition seamlessly into kindergarten and beyond.

Our Parent Teacher Group (PTG) works tirelessly to make school unforgettable. Thanks to our amazing volunteers, our students get to enjoy: Class parties and assemblies (like the famous "Outback Ray" animal show!), The annual Ice Cream Social, Field Day and our end-of-the-year Beach Party. Joining the PTG is a wonderful way to connect with the school and support our students' favorite traditions!

Teaching our students to show kindness and give back to others is at the core of who we are. Our school community regularly participates in community service activities, including special dress-up days to support The Rainbow Connection and our Christmas Give program.

Thank you to all of our South School families for your continued partnership, dedication, and support. Together, let's make this upcoming school year the best one yet!
