Middle school is an absolute adventure—a time of incredible growth, vibrant energy, and new challenges. Here at Dover Middle School, we are a student-centered community dedicated to making these transitional years as positive and engaging as possible. Because we know that real learning starts with genuine connection, our teachers prioritize building strong, supportive relationships. Our ultimate goal is for every single student to feel seen, valued, and empowered the moment they walk through our doors.
Our amazing staff goes above and beyond to design creative, hands-on lessons that capture students' imaginations and connect to their unique interests. Throughout their time with us, students are encouraged to confidently embrace challenges, learn from their mistakes, and discover the joy of being lifelong learners.
We provide a wealth of targeted learning opportunities designed to meet students exactly where they are. Our dedicated reading and math blocks provide targeted intervention and awesome enrichment opportunities for each and every student, five days a week. In addition, we proudly offer specialized enrichment classes in both math and English Language Arts (ELA) to help students stretch their minds and push their boundaries.
Middle school is the perfect time to try new things! We offer a diverse lineup of engaging exploratory and elective classes, including Art, Health, PE, Digital Literacy, Project Lead the Way, Band, Choir, and Orchestra. We also provide a variety of extracurriculars to keep students engaged, foster leadership, and involve every student: Student Council, Hope Squad, student-led clubs like chess club and crochet club, Power of the Pen, and Study Plus.
